The Fields of Sinsinawa is a place where all who are passionate about our land and health can come together to share and learn together. This is why the Fields of Sinsinawa will be a foundation on which to build strong farms, communities, and food.
Utilizing techniques to build soil health while raising healthy cattle increases profitability. It is our passion to keep the next generations on the farms and in turn keep our local communities thriving.
We believe that Fields of Sinsinawa is a worthwhile investment. We all want to leave the world better for the generations to come. Please consider joining us in this endeavor.
A Note from Our Chairman
Greetings,
I am writing to ask for your support of our farmer-to-farmer learning center, where our mission is to demonstrate and share farming practices that promote healthy soils, protect the environment, and enhance farming profitability.
On my farm in Watertown, Wis., I’ve been practicing sustainable farming for many years, having adopted no-till, cover crops, and planting green. I also started a soil health group in Wisconsin in 2017 and have helped other farmers in the state to get other groups started.
In August of 2022, I was asked to speak to area farmers in Grant County and Jo Daviess County at the Sinsinawa Mound Center about my journey in practicing soil health. At that time, the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa were interested in creating a farm legacy for future generations.
David Brandt was also there to speak and felt a spiritual connection there with the Sisters and the land. I spent five days with David, accompanying him at speaking events throughout the state. He shared his vision with me about how Sinsinawa could be a center for farmers across America to demonstrate, collect field data, and have events to educate farmers on soil health principles. It has become my goal to see his dream come to life.
With passion and commitment, our group has come together to make this organization a great learning center where soil care is at the heart of everything we do. With your donation we can help farmers learn how better soil health practices grow healthy crops and vibrant communities.
Sincerely,
Tony Peirick, Fields of Sinsinawa Core Team Co-Chair
